Visiting
When are services?
Sunday School starts at 9:45 AM, Sunday worship begins at 10:45 AM, and Wednesday Bible study meets at 6:30 PM.
Where are you located?
We meet at 164 Ponders Gap Road, Ten Mile, TN 37880. You can get directions here.
What should I wear?
On Sundays, many of our members dress business casual. On Wednesdays, things are usually more casual. But there is no dress code. Come as you are, and know that you are welcome at Ponder’s.
Sunday morning
Worship
What is the worship service like?
Our primary goal every service is to glorify God and edify His people. You can expect us to worship through prayer, singing, Scripture, and expository Bible preaching. We want to worship in a way that is reverent, joyful, and accessible to visitors.
What kind of music should I expect?
You should expect to sing songs that honor God in His attributes, the work of Jesus on the Cross and His love for us. These could be classic hymns, or contemporary songs that help the congregation focus on worship.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. Folks may greet you warmly, but we do not want to put you on the spot. You are welcome to relax, listen, and get to know us at your own pace.
Do I need to give during the offering?
No. We don't pass the offering plate during the service, so there's no pressure to give. The offering plate is near the entrance and is for members and regular attenders who call Ponders home. As our guest, give as you feel led.
